We thoroughly enjoyed our mid year dinner event at Marsden with yet another superb meal provided by Elaine Harris. We are deeply indebted for the service she has continued to provide us for many years at our meetings.

The 40 who gathered on Saturday night were wonderfully entertained by Doug and Alison Langford’s grandson, Joshua, who we have met previously. He is an outstanding young pianist who is going places fast. Joshua  enthralled us with a wide repertoire of classical music. The acclamation from members and partners said it all for his tremendous talent and achievements.

Outgoing President Phil Oliver, outlined the many projects of the Club during an extended Covid year, our funding raising for the New Wellington Children’s Hospital, Rotary Give Every Child a Future, in the Pacific Islands, our Centennial Year project – Epilepsy First Aid Booklets for Schools, our Quiz Night, Book Fair, our continuing and popular business breakfast programme, and other events. Phil was warmly thanked by incoming President Graeme Titcombe for two outstanding years of leadership with support from Phil’s wife Liz ,who received flowers along with our supremo caterer, Elaine.  Members and partners warmly embraced the many raffle prizes on offer.
