The Rotary Club of Karori, with its partner, the Karori Business Association are pleased  with the community response and representation celebrating the inaugural Karori Employee Appreciation Awards at Samuel Marsden School on 14 November.

Organiser Allan Frazer, said the awards recognised very special people who had gone out of their was to make a significant difference to the success of the organisations they work for in Karori and in turn to make the wide community of Karori a better place for all.

Karori Rotary President Jay, and Heather Baldwin on behalf of the Karori Business Association presented the awards. Raconteur and intrepid international traveller, Karori resident, Jamie Fitzgerald, entertained us with his stories and challenges from international ventures including tracking across the Antarctica to Scott Base and completing in and winning a rowing race across the Atlantic. He is a very inspiring man with strong winning ethics which he outlined to his audience and award winners.
