Mt Victoria Club President Carol Green promised a fun and surprises night and we certainly got that. Their meeting room is tucked away at the back of The Arborist Restaurant and Bar in Willis St, and the strains of music come through into the meeting venue.

We engaged in great fellowship and a quiz night and some very good prizes, with testing questions to mixed tables of Mt Vic and Karori members trying to guess where certain places were in Wellington, what welcome greetings were attached to each of the Pacific Islands nations, the international theme for RI President, New Zealand’s Bill Boyd’s year of office (Lead the Way) and Rotary initiated programmes and organisations.

Jay Jaiganesh and Allan Frazer were on the winning quiz table, and took the top spoils. David Watt managed to sweep three out of four additonal spot prizes for the evening. At least he donated the third one back to a member of the Mt Vic Club. All monies collected on the night are going to the new Wellington Children’s Hospital.

We look forward to inviting the Mt Vic Club members to come back and join us at Marsden in the near future.
